CJP Isa remarks in land dispute case: ‘Pashtuns prolong enmity’ today news update in pakistan 2023.


 Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa held an interesting conversation with the lawyer in the land dispute case and scolded the advocate for speaking Urdu and English language to complete his arguments.

The top judge said: “You have killed two languages, brief your argument in Urdu elsewhere speak full English.”

He remarked: “Pathans are the best and you will find nowhere else as much morals there. But the only thing about the Pathans is that they carry on enmity for a long time.”

“I don't think the bench will agree on this,” said the Chief Justice looking at the fellow judges. The remark brought laughter in the courtroom.

CJP Isa further added: “We have to stop amateur litigation.”

Justice Qazi Faez Isa took oath in as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan. Qazi Faez has been associated with the legal profession for 45 years. He was licensed to practice as an advocate in the Balochistan High Court (BHC) on 30 January 1985 and then elevated to the Supreme Court on 21 March 1998.

On his first day in office, he held a seven-hour-long live-broadcasting of judicial reforms case, chairing full court.
